hello all..
i am Drak DeMay..
i have been a model for many years.. i am also a trainer but i dont
practice i just learned to help my body building and my future degree
in health..
so far i have been on the diet only 36 hours..and i know my body and
i study it and even at this point i have notices changes and
amazingly with little or no hunger..
my personal intake had been about 1620 callories with almost 0 gram
of carbs.
the only thing i notice is a slight lose of stool..but honestly i
think that it has something to do with the chicken i was eating being
a bit greecy…
i also drink diet and diet caffine free soda’s that have no
carbohydrates
i would like to have your imput on things..
1) should i do little…../or no carbs.
2) i have had no trouble with headaches at all.. but i am still only
been at it for short period of time..other than that.. just to give
me input.. do any of you suffer from diarrea? or lose of stool..
i myself have this effect with i eat some of this inexpensive
chick i bought that i maybe shouldnt ..

Day 2 and headaches

Hi everyone….
Well I am at the 36 hour mark and I think I am doing good. Had lots
of tests last night if I was not serious about the diet and I am.
When I get totally stressed I binge eat. I will not say that it did
not cross my mind about a 1000 times, but I did it. Candy stay in
the dish and crackers where in the pantry.
I will have to say the headaches right now and being tired might be
one reason to stop. But I know they will go away soon. Makes it
hard to work alittle. I figure another day or so and they will go
away.
I never knew that I had that much caffine in my system, but as I
told a friend that I used to drink soda or caffined tea to get rid
of headaches……WOW…..full circle…
I think that a friend of mine will be starting this diet soon too.
We are also going to attend an OA meeting together. I know from
friends that they do not say anything about being on a any diet so I
think it will be good. Maybe help me understand more about my binge
eating. We will see. It will be great to have someone to go with,
I get shy with those things and it was cool that she said that she
was interested too.
Well off to make some dinner. Maybe a little food will help with
the headache too.

Hi,
As I shared in my very sincere post earlier, I am on day 1 of
induction and joined this list for support. And the last thing I
needed was to post requesting info and support, only to find that
posts in this group are moderated, which does no justice to folks who
need help.
I just joined another Atkins group where I can get immediate help,
especially during a sensitive time, I mean geesh I would think you
would understand this totally.
Anyhow, please unsubscribe me as I found another list that I am
getting timely help from.

Newbie could use some help

Hi,
This is maybe my 4th attempt at this diet. I am on day one of
induction. I have about 50 lbs to lose. I have liver disease, which
in combination with my quitting smoking last summer has helped me put
on almost 60 lbs :( Ive always been thin all my life, until the
Liver disease kicked in. Then my husband and I quit smoking and more
weight came on.
Heres my thing. Just like when I attempted to quit smoking it took
several times before I could do it. I know now this is it. I just
need some help.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help get through these 2 weeks?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Also what kind of gum can I chew? I really need some gum.
Any input suggestions/recipes etc will be greatly appreciated.
Most Sincerely (a very hungry LOL)

Yes, today I wrote down everything, and after lunch I already had 18 carbs, 1950 cal and 850 fat cal. I had a sensible dinner, a pork chop, spinach, and a small salad.
The thing that got me was the citric acid in the drinks. I do not drink much soda, but diet rite, and the flavored water also have citric acid. How much is too much?

Suzanna,
Yes, I am a binge eater. While Atkins has helped me with this because it cuts out the sugar, Overeaters Anomyous has helped me the most, because it addresses the behavior. Guides you to understand why you are powerless over food at certian times.
Of course, with all things, you have to find a healthy group. Took me a while to do that. I found a great deal of help on line. The OA 12 step book helped me tremendously.
As to your expected weightloss the first week, you are right to assume you won’t be losing 10-15 lbs. the first week. the closer you are to goal, the longer it takes and the less you lose per week. But you are eating good food, so it won’t be hard to lose it. and you will not be lowering your metabolism. just make sure you eat enough food. DO NOT WAIT TILL YOU ARE HUNGRY TO EAT. you will undereat this way. to lose the fastest, don’t let more than 4 hours go by without eating alittle something.
