I have to wonder if I’m doing things right…should I be seeing any changes
yet in terms of weight or how I feel? Am I eating too much if I am eating
the correct foods? Are there restrictions or amounts that are too much or
too little (that wouldn’t be an issue with me!)?

Greetings I went to GNC and got the coconut chocolate ones they are yummy!!! peace raja
I am getting sick of having eggs for breakfast!! I usually make
scrambled eggs in the morning in the microwave because it’s fast and
easy as I rush off to work. Any other ideas for fast breakfasts?
Now on day 5, lost 4 pounds!

Dear Readers,
And another thing for us oldies: just exactly what sort of exercise are
you supposed to do if your knees are so bad that some days it is hard to get
from one end of the house to the other?
And please don’t say go see a doctor. It has been my experience that
they don’t know and simply don’t care. Their standard advice for anyone over
60 is to “go take a pill.”
I find that comments from other people who have experienced the same
thing is much more valuable and apt to work.

Hubby LOVES Kentucky Fried Chicken and Popeye’s Chicken. (fried chicken fast food places…in case you don’t have them). If I was to order a box of chicken and pull off the skin with the breading on it….would any carbs be left behind in the chicken? They dip and coat the chicken then deep fry it.

Dear Readers,
This group is so helpful as I go about trying to “do” Atkins. Have been
on it for 5 days and haven’t lost enough to talk about but feel a lot
better.
I am very curious to know if there is a group for us that are over 60.
It is relatively easy to lose weight and change your cooking/eating habits
when you are younger, but people over 60 are different. They don’t lose
weight as easily and are mostly set in their ways when it comes to cooking.
I have been interested in trying to find out about older people and
dieting for several years. No one seems to address this problem……no one.
I have contacted several Web sites (including Richard Simmons) and all they
do is send back the usual set message of “do this; do that.”
Well, it doesn’t work that way. Ask me how I know!
Anyone have any thoughts on Atkins for us Seniors?

Why not use ground nuts for a coating substitute for flour. Works
like a charm. Or even Atkins baking mix. I’ve used Parmesan cheese
to make chicken wings for a quick snack.
I’m new to this group, but had been on Atkins when it first came out
in the ’70’s. I’m mostly a meat/poultry/fish eater so I don’t miss
the veggies or fruits. I’m also a very ‘hard’ loser so I have to go
back to induction every so often. Also not as young as I was 25 or
so years ago which may be a factor as well.
I’m sure I can get some new inspiration from this group.

How bad is it to eat bacon? I’ve had quite a bit of it since I started.
Good morning all!
I am going shopping to stock up on induction foods. I have been
reading all the posts and wondering what specific Atkin items
(bars/shakes) you all like. I figure these will help me on my busy
days…
Thnaks for all the wonderful information I have gotten from reading
everyones posts!
