Alexis,
You don’t need recipes for the 2 week induction. Just cook steak, fish,
poultry, for lunch and dinner. I don’t have any veggies. Just a salad,
with lettuce, a little feta cheese or a little shredded chedder, lettuce and
a bit of oil & vinegar for dressing.
For breakfast you can use eggs, bacon, sausage. Use a bit of scallions
(green onions) and/or mushrooms in your omelets.
In fact, if you want a hamburger, or steak & eggs for breakfast you can have
it. Just stop counting calories. Veggies may be low in calories but can
add up the carbohydrate grams very fast. Forget “fat free”. Forget “low
fat”; forget Weight Watchers; forget Tops. Forget the “food pyramid”.
Unless you get an exceptional amount of exercise you will gain, not lose,
weight
If you’re trying to do this diet without Atkins book or a good,
all-inclusive carb counter, you will probably lose the battle. Corinne
Netzer’s “Complete Book of Food Counts” is the best of the carb counter’s
I’ve found. Since the carb counts in foods rarely change, you won’t need to
buy any ‘updated’ editions.
Those bars you’re eating don’t belong on induction. Even if they have a low
carb count on the wrapper, they are weight loss stallers. This diet is very
easy if you learn to read and understand the nutrition labels on food.
