Yes & No List

Can anyone point me to a simple “Yes & No List?” As in: “Yes, you can
eat or drink that” or “No, you shouldn’t eat or drink that.” As John
Travolta’s character on “Welcome Back Kotter” used to say, “I’m sooooo

have you taken your measurements,,,some of us tend to lose inches way before the weight starts to come off….I myself would much rather see the inches go first,,,I can always see results faster when the inches start to go…..hang in there and don’t give up,,,,,,the weight will come off..

Help…I’m a little scared

I just finished week 2 yesterday. Have been following diet strictly.
Forgot to take vitamins. Lost 6 lbs first week. Second week added
in exercise because first week had no energy. Ketones sticks say I
am the purple square before the last one so I am in Ketosis.
Friday morning I took a 40mg dose of a prescribed diuretic -
furosemide. Saturday morning I woke up super tired and weighed
myself and show a 3lb weight loss. (water, I am sure). In addition,
I was VERY aware of my heartbeat beating in my head and I could feel
it beating strongly on the outside of my chest. I just figured that
it was because I had just awakened and that it would go away.
Well, it hasn’t. I had to lay down several different times yesterday
to make that feeling go away. I am on a beta blocker and that causes
your heart to not pump as hard so I NEVER feel my heartbeating. I did
proceed with my day but I really was not up to doing my walk or
swimming. Too tired and was being bugged by the heartbeat thing.
Sometimes it was going a little faster than I liked and that would
make me just lay down to get the gravity aspect out of the way.
I didn’t really feel like eating much either. I only drank 32oz of
water and had only 2 meals. I thought that perhaps it was an
electrolyte deficiency because here it is Sunday morning and I am
exhausted and the heartbeat thing is the same way.
I had my husband run out to the store to get me some Gatorade and to
hell with those carbs. I really hope this is the fix. I added in
multivitamins and I am hoping for the best.
I don’t like this feeling. Although I am generally a low energy
person who has to push themselves to exercise and do other things, I
am REALLY tired on this diet.
I really wanted this to work. But, I don’t like to feel this way.
Took blood pressure and it looks normal.
If I feel like this tomorrow I am going to the doctors…
Anybody else have these symptoms and any advice?

If you want a snack, or something to serve to guests (even those who
are not on Atkins) the following is pretty good. Get quail eggs and
hard boil them. Get some sour cream and paddle-fish roe(although
Osetra caviar does even better at a higher cost). Cut the eggs in
half, so there is some yolk in each half. Put a dollop of sour cream
on each half and then a dollop of roe. Presto, instant luxury and
very tasty.

Greetings all,
I’m in the middle of reading this book… Very intriguing….
Totally mind expanding!! Highly recommend it…
It explains a number of important health matters in ways I’ve not known..
For example: Why there never will be a cure of cancer [Though Cancer is
incurable it is preventable!! -speaking of breast, ovarian and prostrate
cancers*] … The history and cause of obesity… Defines a
carbohydrate food is captured sunlight to be eaten so it can be stored for
winter months… Appitite is encouraged by light while darkness inhibits
appitite and eating…
The several activities of insulin is well described…

Hi -
I’m on my 7th day of Adkins. On the 6th day I weighed myself and I
had lost 1.5 pounds. Today when I weighed myself I had only lost 0.5
lbs. I haven’t cheated and I checked my urine with Ketostix - it came
up purple. Confused. Disheartened. Is this normal? Any words of
advice?

On the go meals

Okay I work full time and have a 8 1/2 month old baby girl. I need
meal preps that don’t take a lot of time and stuff that is simple to
make and easy to follow. Also stuff that my husband will enjoy so I
am not making double meals for dinner. He could use to shed some
pounds too (you didnt’ hear that from me. LOL)
