I am reading the book, and as a nurse, it makes sense to me, even though it’s the opposite of popular knowledge. Well, I never thought much of popular knowledge. There’s an awful lot of misinformation out there that “everybody knows.”
What does caffeine really do? I mean, is that just an “it’s not good for you,” like margerine, or does it really sabotage the diet?

Im so sorry you got sick. We are supposed to eat meat but its best to mainly eat lean meats but of course you will eat marbled meat too. Your eating very greasy foods it seems. When I make bacon, I use Turkey bacon, less fat and grease and I let it drain on paper towels before serving it. Try and get rid of all that yucky grease.
As for caffine, what it does is make your blood sugar rise. It makes your body think it has sugar in it and by doing that your insulin goes up. Yes it does sabotage the diet. Try your best to stay away from it.
