Fat VS Real Fat!!!

Hi! Phyliss
I understand completely where you are coming from..I weigh now at
the age of 66 200/195..I NEVER had a problem with weight..Now I
realize I was controling my food like an alcoholic trys to control
drinking..When I gained a few lbs.I would diet and go back down
again..
My two daughters ages 38-45 are thin one looks thinner then she
really is and is a carb. junkie like her mom..the other is tall 5′10″
150 but likes herself at 140..
I ABSOLUTELY feel that ANYONE can benifit from ATKINS DIET and it
is better to NIP the weight when it is only 10-20lbs before 200lbs
It is so easy to gain so hard to lose!!!Except with ATKINS
I would never discourage anyone to not eat healthy and stay off
this group..That is not right! Although maybe the person who said
that is young and her weight has been so difficult that she or he
can not UNDERSTAND why someone with only 10-20lbs would be here..
It really takes a lifetime of experience to realize where people
are coming from…I alo believe some worry about anorexia..My oldest
was until she got pregnant 16yrs ago and finlly something
clicked.and started eating..SO with her I tread carefully..making
suggestions to eat healthier foods…etc!!!
PLEASE keep posting I feel (MY OPINION) whether it is 5-10-
20-200 EVERYONE SHOULD BE WELCOMED AND NOT DISCOURAGED

i am like that to, i was so depressed about my test strips every time i went
to the bathroom i would automatically cheat, salads throw me out of ketones,
but does that mean that i am consuming to many carbs or what? does anyone
know?????

21-8 - up three pounds since yesterday.
Yesterday my food was:
9am 3 oz garlic sausage and 2l water
walked 2 miles.
4pm 4 chicken drumsticks with 10g of carbs as per broccoli, yellow peppers
and onions fried in plenty of olive oil. Water.
7pm same again (ie the chicken meal)Water.
Was awake half the night with jitteriness. Woke up feeling half-dead -
insulin has gushed through my body all night, leaving me with very low blood
sugar.

No it’s all of us. The list owner for some reason has this list set so she

Hello everybody, I’m taking the plunge and joining the group.
I tried Atkins a loooong time ago, right before the holidays several
years ago - so THAT was a disaster, and never went back. hahaha But
it’s time to try it again, and I need to refresh my memory. So, I am
rereading my Atkins book, trying to relearn all the stuff I need to
know to do the true Induction phase. Obviously, I look forward to
getting helpful hints, etc from you all - this is a great group!
Until then, I have been practicing my own “Atkins Lite” - removing
all processed carbs, removing caffee, removing most other forms of
carbs, finding Splenda sweetened products, etc. Since I don’t
remember all the details, I am not counting the carbs right this
second. By next week I should be in the full fledged Induction
phase.
But I’ve already gone through the caffeine withdrawl headaches, and
the carb withdrawl that seems to happen during the first week. I am
no longer starved when lunch comes around, and I am eating until I
feel full and satisfied - thus no low blood sugar/ carb cravings
occur.
I’ve bought new running shoes, a running CD player, and batteries to
go in the thing - so tomorrow starts the running program!
Wish me luck!!!!
Ps - be prepared for lots of babbling posts from me - it helps keep
me on track with this whole thing… Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

I’m new.. First day and I feel lousy!!!!

Hi, this is my first day with the induction diet and man do I feel
lousy. I’ve had a headache off and on all day. I just want to sleep
and feel sick. Does it get better… I’m starting to wonder and
question myself for trying this. I need to loose 15 lbs. Oh I hope
it will be better soon and that it won’t take too long for me to
loose my weight.
I guess I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

Hello Everyone~
My name is April and I am a new member of the group. I have been
pondering starting the Atkins way of life for the past couple of
years. It was easy to lose the weight with my two oldest childre,
but it has been difficult to get the weight off from my youngest
child (who I might add is staring kindergarten this year lol!) With
that said, I started the Atkins Program on Monday in hopes to lose
about 65 or 70 lbs. So far, so good.
I do have a question. A friend of mine said that I can consume
Crystal Light and Sugar Free Jello, which containe Aspartme. Is this
true that I can consume these foods?

2 bites of cheesecake..

Hello everyone!!…. Just wanted to let you know I was a very good
girl yesterday, well, until I got home at 1:30am and ate 2 bites of
cheesecake!!… but, I had summer sausage/cabbage/red
pepper/greenpepper/yellow pepper, for lunch and dinner….and I
weighted last night, so my starting weight is going to be 183 1/2…
I hope I lose some by Fridays weigh in!!… But, I didnt have a Mt.
Dew at my 11pm break like I always have before… Im drinking lots
of water!!.. I drink water all day at home, and then at my 5 breaks
at work, and then again when I get home at night… okay, I just
wanted to check in and let everyone know how I am doing…
