New member - hi!!!!

Hello everybody, I’m taking the plunge and joining the group.
I tried Atkins a loooong time ago, right before the holidays several
years ago - so THAT was a disaster, and never went back. hahaha But
it’s time to try it again, and I need to refresh my memory. So, I am
rereading my Atkins book, trying to relearn all the stuff I need to
know to do the true Induction phase. Obviously, I look forward to
getting helpful hints, etc from you all - this is a great group!
Until then, I have been practicing my own “Atkins Lite” - removing
all processed carbs, removing caffee, removing most other forms of
carbs, finding Splenda sweetened products, etc. Since I don’t
remember all the details, I am not counting the carbs right this
second. By next week I should be in the full fledged Induction
phase.
But I’ve already gone through the caffeine withdrawl headaches, and
the carb withdrawl that seems to happen during the first week. I am
no longer starved when lunch comes around, and I am eating until I
feel full and satisfied - thus no low blood sugar/ carb cravings
occur.
I’ve bought new running shoes, a running CD player, and batteries to
go in the thing - so tomorrow starts the running program!

Ps - be prepared for lots of babbling posts from me - it helps keep
me on track with this whole thing… Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!
