MacDonalds is the worst. They use American Cheese, and just read the box
on that. That’s what did it to you, plus the sauce.
Burger King works better, and their meat isn’t a disgusting gray disk.
They’ll make the sandwich exactly the way you tell them to. Hold all
sauces, give you a container of mayo to apply yourself, and use cheddar
cheese.

Cory, good luck doing this one. I gave everything not on the list to my
daughter.
Remember, if you don’t buy it, you can’t eat it.
Get pork rinds for that evening snacking. It seems to help.

jello

Wednesday, October 29th, 2003

Hi, Bonnie here. I’m just about at the end of two weeks of induction and
have lost ten pounds. People keep mentioning sugar free jello but I can’t
find any that don’t have aspartame. Please let me know the brands you’re
buying and where you purchase them. I would also like to let you all know
about a low carb bread made by Natural Ovens Bakery. It has three carbs a
slice and is probably available mainly in the Midwest. They have a web sight
where it can be ordered. They have wonderful, healthy bread products. Lots
of losses in the form of pounds to all of you.

Lost

Wednesday, October 29th, 2003

Hello everyone,
I joined this group in hopes of some motivation, inputs
and willpower, im in depression for starters, i had WLS 5 years ago
and have done well until depression started creeping up on me, i
regained 40lbs and it seems to be ruinning my life and my
relationship with my current b/f, i have been divorced, lost my job,
i have no friends, no clothes that fit me anymore and barely any
money to purchase anything, all which have happened in the past 2
years, so i am pretty much throwing a pity party for myself, i need
to lose this 40lbs that i have gained but i am turning to food due to
my sadness and i dont know what to do anymore, im not looking for
anyone to feel bad for me im looking for advice and support with
Atkins, because i started it today and am really having a hard time
although i feel that i did ok. Thanks for reading my babbling and
hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Charlotte, I tried to e-mail you off list but it did not go
through. I don’t know if you can freeze that but it wouldn’t hurt to
try! Thanks so much for the chocolate recipes ! Laurie

Newbie-questions

Tuesday, October 28th, 2003

Hi all,
I am a newbie to low carbs. Have been trying the South Beach Diet
and reading the posts on these newsgroups as well. Am thinking I’ll
kind of use the info from each.
Has anyone tried the South Beach Diet? What are the feedbacks?
What is the difference in the books for Atkins - The Atkins Way of
Life - The New Atkins Diet Revolution? Which one should I buy?
Thanks,
Carol Van
