it’s a good jealouse tho.

hi charlotte and sharon..
jealous ?? gosh. i must confess to the both of you.. and everyone on this
list. that i have struggled with bulmia for the last ten years of my life. so
much . that i had a heart attack at the age of 32 and now have full dentures..
from stomache acid..
as most of you know i have been blessed with a son. he was four precious
months on the 17th. i am ashamed to admit that i did not stop self induced
vomiting. laxative abuse or dirutics until i was over four months pregnant
one of the main reason why i personally am on atkins. is cuz of the
elimination of carbs .. and im doing very well. my bulima has been dormat for a
while..
i have suffered very low self esteem and have been “fat” in my brain. if
that makes sense. i am a emotional eater and have dealt with the “core” issues
of
what was actually eating me. its hard..
please dont be jealous. you see. i would cut off my right arm. not to allow
my weight and appearance to run my life. and i still have a long way to go
love
caroline

    Good Morning,
I am new to this site, and on my second week of Induction.
It is a great source of encouragement to read your emails.
I was wondering about the Atkins Advantage shakes. Is it ok to have one
    occasionally during the induction period?
I read somewhere on line that the label on the can is misleading as it does
    not count the sugar alcohol.
I am 44 y/o, 5ft. tall and 210Lbs. I have struggled with my weight for the
last 15 years ( ever since I got married and had children).
I feel that as large as I am , I am invisible….tired of having people
including co-workers look and turn away when they see me coming.
Thank you for any help provided.
    Best wishes to all.

Congrats Caroline to your new life so to speak and on your 4 month old son.
Im new to this sight and this is the first time I have posted. I hope to talk
with a lot of you on here and get support too (lord knows I need it..LOL).
I have been on adkins for about 2 weeks now and Im doing great. Got a bunch
of the girls at work on it too and we kinda support each other. It started out
as 7 of us and now its down to 3 (me included). The rest had no will-power
and would not do it faithfully, but Im determined. I do have those moments
when I want a big bowl of cereal or some buttered bread, but I resist.
I read a post somewhere about the carb bars and now I dont eat them anymore
because I read you have to count all the carbs in them and not just the net
carbs. .. really bummed me out. Got to have the chocolate every now and again,
so Im looking for something that will satisfy that craving and not ruin my
    results.
If anyone has a recipe for something low carb (sweet), Im all ears.
    Liz
