I Have been on induction for 10 days .I stay under 20 grams but i have only
lost 8 lbs I haven’t lost any in a few days .I seem to be in keytoses still
.How long should I stay on induction and doing the keytoses test.HELP also I
need
some different recipes .

Started Monday AM, starting to feel the effects, alittle bit
strange. Noticeably more energy which is great! One of the main
reasons I started was my lack of energy lately. I have a bunch to
lose. I’ve lost weight majorly twice before (I’m 47 now) in my
life, but could not keep it off. Gained it all back, and then
some. Right now it’s been oh, 6 years since last weight loss. One
plus I have going is my S.O. has started the induction with me! So,
the buddy-system may just be the ticket.

root beer floats

hi,
4 day into induction.
it seems that Diet Rite doesn’t make a root beer flavor. The rest of diet pops
don’t use Splendar so what does one do then when aspartane is not on the list of
acceptable sweetners. Are there any other choices?
The recipe called for diet root beer, heavy cream and ice cubes.
Incidently, I want to thank everyone who asks questions because I learn so much
here.
Lastly, are there any men who have been on this diet and seen their cholesterol
levels go down and any that have seen them go up.

Greetings all!, I am halfway through Dr. Atkins fantastic book. I
have always been a meat eater so following the low carb plan wasnt a
prob. But today i pigged out on pepsi and i was wondering if im blew
it or not? I mean i had been doing well just eating meat cheese
etc… i even skipped my usual catsup condiment in favor of mustard.
I also cut my carbs to 24 grams a day. Is there still hope? , Dennis

Question about carb grams in a candy bar

I purchased a few of the Ross dark chocolate candy bars because they
are sugar free and low carb. They were advertised as having 1 gram
of carbs per bar. When I received the bars however they say 15.8
grams of carbs, but that the “net impactible carbs” is 1.0g. So
what’s the deal. I don’t know if I should trust the 1.0g of carbs or
not. Somebody help!!

Atkin’s Shakes

Hello,
I am new to this and had a question? Is it okay to use the Atkin’s
shakes while you are on induction? Also can you lose weight if you
do not exercise? I am disabled and need a knee replacement and
can’t walk much at all. I have to lose 100 lbs before they will do
my surgery! I have been on Atkin’s for almost three weeks and do
feel much better.

i AM NEW TO THIS AND I NEED HELP. I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU CAN
SUBSITUTE ONE MEAL FOR ANOTHER. AND IF THERE IS SOME KIND OF BOOK I
NEED TO ORDER. I HAVE SEEN THE INDUCTION MENU ON THE NET, BUT IT
DOESENT HAVE ALL THE RECIEPIES FOR THE WHOLE WEEK. I AM COMPLETELY IN
THE DARK, AND REALLY NEED FOR THIS TO WORK. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING
YOU CAN THINK OF TO LOSE WEIGHT. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE FILL ME IN. LET

New to list, just started induction

Hi everyone,
My name is Larry and my wife and I just started Atkins induction on October 13.
The first few days were terribly difficult as I had a lot of addictions to
break, caffeine and going out to lunch every day and eating whatever being about
the toughest. Man do I miss morning coffee! However, about Thursday of last
week things turned around and I can honestly say that I’ve never felt better in
my entire life. This diet is amazing. I’ve discovered if I just think of it as
a different life style and way of eating and not as a diet it works better.
I’ve dropped about 10 pounds but that was last Saturday and I’m not weighing in
until Friday after work. Not owning a scale helps with that. Truth be told
though, I’ve never eaten this well. The food is great and we are much
healthier. Just a note to folks who liked drinking soda before Atkins, Diet
Rite now makes soda with Splenda (forget the technical name) and it is the best
diet pop I’ve ever had.
Just curious about something though and pardon the bluntness of the question.
We are using fiber pills and they have helped a bit but this diet or some side
effect of it is really causing a problem. Any food on this diet that we can eat
that is really high in fiber and will be helpful. This is rough on the system!
