Splenda BBQ sauce

BBQ sauce
1 Tbsp canola or extra virgin olive oil
1 cup onion, peeled and minced
2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
2 low-sodium beef bouillon cubes
1/2 cup hot water
3 cans (6 ounces each0 tomato paste
1 cup Splenda granular
3/4 cup worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup Dijon mustard
3 Tbsp hickory-flavored liquid smoke
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 Tbsp hot sauce or to taste
Place oil in large saucepan. Add onions and garlic. Saute over
medium heat until translucent, 2 to 3 minutes.
Mix bouillon and water. Add bouillon mixture and all remaining
ingredients to saucepan. Stir well using wire whisk.
Simmer uncovered 25-30 minutes, stirring often. Chill overnight in
nonreactive container to allow flavors to meld. Sauce is best if
prepared one day before use. Keeps for 1 week, covered in
refrigerator.
Makes about 6 cups.
