To kick off going on Atkins Induction last week I bought a “Mean,
Lean, Grilling” machine and it’s been getting a good workout all this
time. Last night I cooked a skinless chicken breast and hamburger
patty on it. I had slices of blackforest ham and cheddar cheese on
the side with a little bit of celery. I grilled two steaks and set
one and half of them aside for lunch today and had the remainder
for “dessert”. I can’t recommend this appliance enough: I bought it
for only $29.99 CDN. I’m going to try fish, pork, and lamb on it in
the future!
I have had one of these for about a year and a half now, and I agree they
are great. I cook almost everything on it… Bacon and burgers are the best
to cook on this grill… Fish cooks faster and more evenly… It’s a very
versatile machine.
The only downsize to mine is (being older) is it does not have an ON/OFF
switch (you have to plug in to turn on, pull the plug to turn off) and no
way to raise/lower heat… It cooks at one self-regulating temperature
constantly. I just have this thing about having to pull the plug to turn it
off… That spark you sometimes see is not comforting.
