Eating out and keeping count

Okay. How do you all keep count of your carbs when you eat out? I
know that like at most fast food places you can get a nutrition guide
that will tell you the info…and the diet carb counter that comes
with the atkins book tells you a few places….but I know that
getting hamburger is 0 carbs…but what about if you go and get
salads or steaks and such…most larger resturants (such as - o
charleys and other “non-fast food”) do not generally have it. So how
much do you count for dressing and so forth…just wanting to know
what you all do! Thanks.

My 1st Week Is Done! (This time around)

Well I have made it a week! As of this morning I have been on
induction for a week. I have lost 8 lbs., which I am very happy
with! My cravings for sweets peeked yesterday.. but I think it was
because we went to the zoo and had a glorious day out..
On now to my second week into induction. I am hoping that I do close
to what I did this week… trying to drink crazy amounts of water!!
I went into deep ketosis within the 3rd day.. and have been there
ever since with the exception of one day that I lost one level…
I am almost half way to my goal!!!!! Yippppeee..
BF is doing so very well too!!! He has more weight to loose but he
is down about 15 lbs. I think! I think that is great seeing as he
mistakenly ate some imitation crab meat that had 15g of carbs!!!! He
doesn’t know he made this mistake.. but I noticed the package after
he ate it.. (by the way he bought the stuff!!!! LOL)

Shari,
According to Atkins, to do the fat fast you would only eat what is listed.
You shouldn’t munch on anything else that is low carb. The fat fast is
about eating very high fat and having only 1000 calories for the day.
Remember this is only to be resorted to by the metabolically resistant.
Shari, this doesn’t seem to have enough fat in it. You could add some mayo
to the chicken to increase the fat. I’m not sure how many calories are in
the cup of chicken either.
In my opinion, I don’t have to be so restrictive to get my body burning fat.
To rid myself of cravings and get back into ketosis, I do my own version of
the fat fast. It technically isn’t the same since I don’t bother counting
the calories. I just eat meat accompanied by something high in fat, to get
my percentages up.
I already posted some of what I may eat. Here it is again with other ideas
too.
Pork rinds with dill dip. (Dip is high in fat and I use it on lots of
things.)
Pork chops, chicken wings, hamburger, steak some of it in dill dip, mayo, or
sour cream.
Tuna with mayo.
Eating this way for a few days could possibly get you back on track. It is
definitely easier then the limited portions on the fat fast.

Fat fast Question???

The Fat Fast doesn’t go into specifics.
Sorry for the stupid question — but can I munch on anything else with
little/no carbs. Or do I have to stick to ONLY what is on there?
Also - I was going to have some chicken broth with my miniscule portion of
tuna/mayo today. LOL
So far today’s intake
1 16oz cup of decaf coffee
1 cup of diced chicken, boiled plain no seasonings
How am I doing?

Yes Shari, I see what you mean. But I beg to differ with them. I have been
making soap for about a year now and all our recipes state that water weighs
the same as it measures. As we work with caustic soda, it is imperative
that our water weight is just right. I have just done the test and true, l
lit of water weighs exactly 1000 grams. My digital scale weighs per gram.
Yea, it is confusing.
1 cup + 237 lit.
