Digest Number 515
My partner and I started induction 1/1/03. Went to wal-mart last night
and saw that they now sell all the atkin’s foods, mixes, etc. as well as
the “generic low carb” stuff that’s coming out. From everything I’m
reading about the induction, all that stuff is off limits. I’ve been on
atkin’s before (when there weren’t this many low carb products out, or
this readiliy available) and stayed on 20 carbs or less for the majority
of the time. When do folks think it’s safe to begin eating some of the
atkin’s/low carb products, and still be able to retain induction phase
weight loss? We were thinking in a couple of weeks it might be safe.
My partner Mark has 20-30 lbs to loose and I have 80 or so. Anyway,
thanks for the support and all the good info.

I guess I’m confused because I could swear in the book it says you can have a
shake on induction. Does anyone know if I’m wrong? I have had a shake for
breakfast and still lost weight.
I am not sure on this……I know that I had a couple of the bars in the
first 2 weeks…..just because I was a sweet addict and don’t know if I would
have
made it the first 2 weeks if I hadn’t……I know eat a bar once a day and
sometimes 2 a day. I have lost 31 pounds total since Aug 18. Sharon
