Hi to the group

Hey everyone! My name is Angie, I live in South Louisian. I just
started the Atkins diet (again…I was on it back in June) I started
it on Friday and I am having a MAJOR craving for something sweet!!
I’m the type of person that lives for CHocolate!! I don’t eat fruits
and veggies for breakfast I eat peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches,
cinnamon rolls and other sweet stuff. HELP!!
So far today I’ve eaten deviled eggs for breakfast, shepards pie
w/cauliflower for lunch and again for dinner, bacon for a snack…. I
need something SWEET! LOL What can i possibly have to stop this
craving????? I have chocolate frosting in my fridge and I’m about to
go tackle it!

I lived on sugar free jello the first 2 weeks. Just something sweet to help
you make it thru the day….I don’t ever eat it now…..the cravings do go
    away. Sharon

I bought some ice cream made with splenda about 2 months ago and haven’t
tried it yet. LOL I was one that ate ice cream every nite but just don’t have
the desire to eat it now. Also, bought some diet rite and haven’t even opened
it. I just bought this stuff incase I had a major attack.and needed
something. But i do love the atkins peanutbutter cups. Sharon

Don’t you dare girl! Take 1/2 cup of cream and 3 tsp cocoa powder. Add,
say, 30g of cream cheese with that. A touch of peppermint essence and
vanilla extract. Beat until stiffening and drop tsp fulls on baking sheet.
Freeze and KEEP in freezer. Have one now and then.

Hiya, well your not alone in your chocolat craving.
Atkins has a good supplement which helps fight that craving, you can
read about it in his book atkins diet revolution off course, but just
in case you haven’t got it. Here is the quote
If you have sugar cravings, you should take 500 mg of L-glutemine
(one or two tablets) prior to each meal. L-Glutamine has been shown
to curb alcohol addiction as well. If you previously ate lots of
carbohydrates, this will help to ease the transition to low-
    carbohydrate eating.
    good luck
    greetings evelien
