One has to
Louise: Yep, I think you have hit the nail on its head! I struggle to go
over 700 calories some days!
I don’t use Fitday.com either. I have Performance Diet Pro programme
which keeps me on my toes and I can see where I am short on any given
vitamin or mineral.
Louise: No such luck in South Africa Sharon, we have no low carb products
here at all.
Louise: You betcha lady! I am feeling too good to change.
Thank you so much for caring!

products, Louise. There are still a few things I cannot get here (example:
sugar-free puddings) but I travel to Los Angeles about once a month so I
pick up things there that I cannot get here. Otherwise, I have a great
selection. Mind you, I don’t want to rely on these things but they just
make the cooking or baking process a little easier.

I am almost sure it is my problem Jane! I struggle to get above 1000
calories per day, but now I will go and strictly concentrate on that. You
have really helped me. Thank you!

intended to send it sooner, but my MIL fell and she has been with us for
over two weeks now. She is doing much better now and should be back to her
old self in another week or two. Last night I finally got to sit down and
start to catch up on the posts. I really hope this helps you. You seem to
be so dedicated to this woe. I know I had stalled for over three weeks when
someone sent it to another group I was on. I was definitely in starvation
mode and I still find myself there a lot. I find it hard to eat enough. I
have also found that if I can some how eat breakfast and start drinking the
water early, I lose faster. I have been going between 151lbs and 153 lbs
for about one and a half weeks lately. But I also started eating some of
the Lecarb ice cream a week ago. It was on sale and I had a $1. off coupon.
I could not pass up that deal. But I have decided to give up any deserts
for awhile and see
body will stay longer in a weight zone where you spent a good bit of time.
I stayed around 170 for quite some time. It was the area my body stayed for
about two years at one point. The range I am staying at now is the range I
also spent two or three years. I am hoping that once I break 150 lbs, I
will start losing real fast again. At least until I hit the 135 lb mark,
which is the next area where I stayed for a couple of years.

I still don’t understand how you know what your BMR is….. I think that is
why I am stalling too. Sharon

Yesterday I managed 1207 (my basal is 1465). So my late night snack was
beef salami, nuked in the microwave with cheese on top. I hope that pushed
me up.
Thanks for your invaluable imput here Jane, you have made me concentrate
on a whole new avenue of my eating. I am giving it until end February, so
that should show where this diet is going with me :-))))

going to take a little while before you start losing again. I also noticed
that after I had been in starvation mode for awhile and then began to eat
more, that if I allowed my calories to drop below my basal requirements, my
weight loss stalled. By playing around with the calories, you will
eventually find the right number of calories for you. I have found that I
do best if I eat between 50 to 300 calories more than my basal requirements.
It is not always easy to get there. Sometimes it seems like there is not
enough time in the day to be able to eat enough. And now I find that there
are some days when I end up eating too many calories.
