Thanks for the info on the hot sauce! Sharon
I am so frustrated i have done induction for 3 weeks and hardly lost any
weight but i can see it in my clothes and face, ect. This week I’ll try harder
but
i’m not sure why i’m not loosing. Last week I was on my period maybe that
has something to do with it. Any advice?
Thanks.
I have always been an absolute regular at any Starbucks I pass. (I even have a
cute little starbucks mug charm for my charm bracelet!) Loving the holiday
gingerbread lattes, and a caramel macchiato year ’round.
But… before starting Atkins, I found that a friend’s daughter works at our new
Starbucks in Weatherford, TX. She told me of their Atkins version. It is a
sugar-free decaf latte made with cream not milk. I have not tried this as of
yet, being on induction and all. But… this would be heaven-sent to someone
like me who usually has Starbucks at LEAST 3-4 times a week.
That has been my only woe this past 2 weeks… is not having my Starbucks. Do
you think this would go along with the diet? (even if I make it only a tall?
lol)

I am in the Milwaukee area, and belong to a food buying club. They sell the
Atkins items rather cheap. The problem is you have to buy 12 each of most
items. I am looking for someone willing to split some cases. I can also get
a ton of other LC products.
I will paste the website so you may look at all it offers. It will not show
prices, I assume because they have sales monthly and that would be quite a
task to keep changing. Examples are:
Atkins Bake Mix 20oz is on sale this month for 7.16 or 6.44 for 12 plus
Atkins Bagels 12 packages at 2.51 ea
Atkins syrup 2.39
I know seeing the price would help, but just seeing all the LC brands they
have is amazing. I am willing to look up a some prices in my catalog if
needed, as long as I don’t get a ton of requests.

The food club we are in we have been doing for years. Its sells alot of
health foods in general alot cheaper then the store. I am amazed at how
many LC vendors they have added over the last few months. Blooming Prairie
is the name, and the the are based on Minnesota and Iowa. You just need to
find a local group.

The above link shows the states they deliver to. I make no profit from
this, nor am I selling anything. I am just sharing some options on ways to
save money, and eat the LC products out there. I found them to be cheaper
then what I see atmy local stores.
If you have any questions on how to join a club it should all be on there
site. I can answer some questions too.

I was hungry this afternoon. I decided I would eat some pork rinds and hot
sauce. The only hot sauce that I have is 2 g carbs and 1 carb
sugar…….That is for a serving size of 2 tbls. What do you all think??? I
didn’t know
about the sugar. Can you find hot sauce with no sugar?? Sharon
Soy sauce and apricot jam are the base for this tasty glaze, but you can also
use orange juice or marmalade for a citrus variation.

Pumpkin Bars
3/4 cup almond flour
2 tsp oat flour
2/3 cup canned pumpkin
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable or almond oil
2 tsp brown sugar twin
3/4 cup splenda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ginger
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
In bowl beat eggs with Brown Sugar Twin. Add vanilla extract and canned
pumpkin, mixing well after each. Set aside. In a seperate bowl, mix almond
flour,
baking powder, oat flour, salt, Splenda, and spices until well mixed. Pour
eggs/pumpkin mixture into dry ingredients and be careful to mix extremely well.
Add chopped nuts and mix again. Pour into baking dish that’s been greased with
butter or PAM. For thin bars, use a 12″ X 8″ pan; for thicker bars, try an 8″ X
8″. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25-30 minutes for rectangular pan, and 30-40
minutes for square pan. Cool in pan for 5-10 minutes before removing, then cut
in squares and enjoy! You can frost the bars with the following recipe:
Cream Cheese Frosting
1 8-oz package cream cheese at room temp
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp butter flavor extract
3 packets of Splenda
1 tspBrown Sugar Twin
sprinkle of cinnamon
Mix all ingrediants well. For a more creamy and prettier frosting, mix with
electric mixer till whipped. A drop of yellow food coloring is nice, but
optional. Spread on pumpkin bars.
Makes 12 squares; Approx. 3 carbs per square (including frosting)

I have been serching for the best flour substitute for baking an
breading. So far “Oh So Low” seems to be the best buy: $17 and change
for 50 lbs. Anybody have some ideas?
