still no weight loss

Well now I am on the verge of ending this “diet”. I am ending my second
week of induction and I have only shed one pound this week. I haven’t lost
inches either because my clothing still fit the same as they did before. I
don’t understand what I am doing wrong. I am eating under 20 carbs, eating
less fat than I did before the diet but still eating plenty, drinking water,
and taking supplements. The only thing I haven’t done is begin an exercise
regime and that is going to have to wait. I have gained so much weight that
it hurts my back. I would think though as long as I keep my regular level
of activity and not do less that I would loose weight just by eating this
way. I am not even fluctuating. I am losing my drive. Anyone have any
ideas? Maybe this isn’t for me.

First, don’t give up, try differing your plan. The first thing I
see wrong with what you wrote above is “eating LESS fat”. You need
to keep carbs at 20 a day, but eat MORE fat. Add more cheese to your
diet, or try bacon, or better yet just eat more meat! It’s working
for me. Make sure you are getting 64 oz of water absolute minimum.
If you are lowing your fat too much, your body is holding onto your
body’s fat, it’s in panic mode, that is why you aren’t losing. It
needs fat protein from meat mostly. Your body will then eat that,
and not hold your body fat. That’s all I can think of. I’m on Day
12 of Induction and lost 13 so far.

    Jen,
See the following page on the Atkins site for a temporary plan for
those with high Metabolic Resistence during Induction. You might
want to give it a try and see your results.

Still firstly, I say you are not eating enough fat, eat more meat and
keep the carbs at 20 and you should see more profit.
