still no weight loss / haven’t lost enough

Jen,
If you haven’t done so already, I would post your meals for a few days and
see if people have any thoughts. Also you said eating less fat that before
in your post - unless you were eating a lot of fat before, you should
probably be eating more. About the exercise - start now! Even if it is
walking around the block just once. Do it. There are people here that
started that way - and each day it gets better. A year ago I started
running - I couldn’t even run for 30 seconds. I just came back from a 5K
run - sitting at the computer all sweaty! If I can do it so can you.
Also to the other people who are not loosing tons of weight - it is not
HEALTY to loose more than 1 to 2 lbs a week. In Atkins - in the beginning -
you loose more - a lot of it is water - but it does level off - you cannot
continue loosing 5 to 8 lbs per week forever it is just not possible. And
if you did it would not be good for your body. The book even says to
increase your carbs until you do level off at around 2lbs per week and keep
that going until you get close to your goal - then increas even more so that
the last few (10 - I think it says) take around 3 months to loose. If you
go too fast you have not learnt how to maintain and maintenance is what will
keep the weight off once you have lost it.
The other thing - please get the book and read it if you don’t have it - it
is very clear about what to eat - what to do if you stall - when to go off
induction etc. What to do if you are metabolicly resistant - Jen there is a
chapter on what to do if you don’t loose much in the induction period - have
you read it?
Just want to stress this is not a quick fix - yes most people get really
great results in the first week or two - but it does level off - so please
don’t get discouraged.
Hope that helps,
Janene
