Lesson learned
Hi everyone!
Tonight I learned a very important lesson! As you know I have been on
Atkins for three weeks and since yesterday I have been obsessing about
sugar. So, tonight I decided I was going to have a bowl of ice cream…not
low carb…a big, huge bowl of ice cream! Well I did and found that was
probably the biggest mistake I could of made but the best lesson I could
have learned. It was great going down and I truly enjoyed it but the after
effects are something I don’t want to feel again. It made me truly sick to
my stomach and didn’t stay down long. After thinking about it I think my
obsession for sugar started the day after I had the Diet Rite soda. Does
that sound possible? It tasted very sweet to me, so much so I couldn’t
finish my glass…. but maybe triggered my system into wanting more?
Anyway, does it sound “normal” to get sick after eating sugar again? My
husband said (jokingly) he is surprised I didn’t put myself into a sugar
comma. I don’t think I will ever have the urge for sugar again! It just
wasn’t worth it!
