Cream Cheese

How can I eat cream cheese?? I just don’t like it but I would like to eat
some…..I feel like I am stalling because I am not eating enough!! I eat
mostly meat and eggs!! Very litttle cheese and very little veggies!!! Help me
figure out how to use cream cheese….is there some kind of dip I can make or
something?? Sharon

Typical day for me
Breakfast: 2 fried eggs…..fried in butter
Lunch: 6 oz of meat….deviled eggs…..several times a week I eat a salad
with ranch dressing but not always
Snack: 1/4 cup of pecans or almonds
1 endulge bar
Usually about 3:00 I eat about 4 oz of meat on my way to work
Supper: I get home around 8:00. 6-8 oz of meat…….
then I usually eat another endulge bar before bed.
Does it look like i need to eat more….. I have always ate like this since
I have started but just seems like it isn’t working anymore. Sharon

whey powder versus protein isolate

Has anyone substituted whey powder for the protein isolate in the
recipes? I am having a hard time finding affordable protein isolate,
but the whey is reasonable.

a question for the ladies

I started Atkins on January 1. The first 2 weeks, 14 pounds melted
off. I have been losing and gaining the same 2 pounds now for a week,
which is of course a tad frustrating! I have been perfect and not
cheated, not even one little bite.
My “time of the month” started this week. Since this is my first
month on Atkins, I’m wondering if any other ladies have experienced
weight flucuations during this time. Now I know we are all different
and retain water, etc. differently, but I’m hoping I am still losing
weight, it just isn’t showing on the scales right now.
I hope this is the problem and I’ll have a substantial loss when this
is over for this month. It is way to early in the game for me to be
stalling I would think.

SOunds like your retaining water big time! Drink the water thruout the day.
Something I do and always have to reduce water retention. Put a few drops of
lemon in hot water. Lemon is a natural diuretic. It will help you flush the
water away! Remeber, count as a carb!

I agree with the diet rite. I wanted some pop, so I bought a bottle. Gag me!
It was so sweet I couldn’t stand it! It did make me want to eat the chocolate
covered pretzels i got for Christmas, but i didn’t. I took a walk instead. I
have notices the faux french toast recipe, I cut the splenda down to 1, it was
to sweet for me.Denise
After thinking about it I think my
obsession for sugar started the day after I had the Diet Rite soda. Does
that sound possible? It tasted very sweet to me, so much so I couldn’t
finish my glass…

Lesson learned

Hi everyone!
Tonight I learned a very important lesson! As you know I have been on
Atkins for three weeks and since yesterday I have been obsessing about
sugar. So, tonight I decided I was going to have a bowl of ice cream…not
low carb…a big, huge bowl of ice cream! Well I did and found that was
probably the biggest mistake I could of made but the best lesson I could
have learned. It was great going down and I truly enjoyed it but the after
effects are something I don’t want to feel again. It made me truly sick to
my stomach and didn’t stay down long. After thinking about it I think my
obsession for sugar started the day after I had the Diet Rite soda. Does
that sound possible? It tasted very sweet to me, so much so I couldn’t
finish my glass…. but maybe triggered my system into wanting more?
Anyway, does it sound “normal” to get sick after eating sugar again? My
husband said (jokingly) he is surprised I didn’t put myself into a sugar
comma. I don’t think I will ever have the urge for sugar again! It just
wasn’t worth it!

Hi,
When I looked at the regular Best Foods/Hellmans mayo it had sugar on the
ingredients list. Do you guys use this on induction or another brand?
Same thing with salad dressing, but 0 sugar on the nutrition label but sugar
listed in the ingredients.
Also there are other products that list sugar in the list of ingredients but
list 0 grams of sugar on the nutrition label.
This is confusing!

hi,
My name is jean and I am new here. I am 30yrs old, have two boys (3+5)
and I am a nursing student. I have been living the Atkins life style
for awhile. Every once in awhile I lose my way but I find it back. I
was so happy when I found support for this way of life.
My husband bought me a tredmill Friday and I used it Sat. for 20 min.
and Sun. for 30 min. Mon. for 30 min. But when I stepped on the
scales this morning I had gained 3pounds. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I am
so discouraged and sad.
HELP why did I gain weight?
