Not that this is appropriate for induction, but if you have a Papa
Murphy’s pizza in your town (Take-N-Bake) they just came out with a
50% less carb, 50% less fat pizza with the “same taste
Oh really…boy would I love to have one of those, I wonder how many carbs
there are.

through the long term no carbs life style…i plan to stick to
it….maybe splurge one day a week, and go out to eat. but im still
not going to over do it, this weight loss feels so good.
Hi All,
I did great. Had 6 slices of bacon and two scoops of scrambled egg.
I asked before I ate the eggs. They are made from fresh whole eggs.
The meeting at Shoney’s lasted over an hour, so with everyone going
in for seconds I went to the salad bar. Lettuce, Chopped ham,
a couple of green olives and I was set for the rest of the day.
Breakfast didn’t start until almost 10, we had to wait until everyone
got there. So I guess you could say I had two meals for the price of
one. With water as my drink I’ve have six already today.
Tonight it’s going to be a bowl of home made chilli. Overall I think
today will be a good day.
Thanks for all the help and support.

I just got back from my first work out. There is a little place in our mall
that is just for women, that is a scaled down version, I think, of Curves. It’s
very reasonably priced too. I liked it. There was a younger (thinner) gal
there that showed me what to do. When I got there I wasn’t sure and she just
sort of adopted me. LOL! Anyway, it’s a 30 min work out and there is a CD
that says “Change Stations” every 30 seconds… you work on a machine, then a
step, then a machine, then a step, etc… I didn’t think I’d make it through the
first time around, but, by the second, I was feeling pretty good! You go around
the whole thing 3 times.
Of course, since it was my first time, I’ll be feeling it tomorrow, I’m sure!
LOL! Shower time!

390/349/185? (started Atkins 1-5-04)
I guess I’m fortunate to live in a large city. Both of our major
grocery store chains are starting to carry so many Atkins & other low-
carb products. Granted, one really should be doing Atkins
the “natural” way, but sometimes these prepared foods & supplements
are just what we need once in awhile.
Our Sam’s Club has recently exploded with all kinds of low carb
stuff. There is Atkins yogurt, ice cream, low carb wraps, pizzas,
burgers (WITH A BUN!), etc. The yogurt is 4 net carbs and probably
OK for induction if you decide to ignore the rule about no dairy, but
the non-dairy stuff is all 9 net carbs or higher, and would be for
later stages. So for now I grabbed a giant bag of frozen shrimp, and
plan on treating myself to that (with zero carb cocktail sauce of
course) for a couple of weeks until I know I’m losing weight, and can
slowly add those other foods.
I did Atkins a few years ago, and it was really tough. Partially
because I hadn’t fully read the book, but also because of the lack of
those convenience items, and lack of moral support. Hardly anyone
understood Atkins back then, and one person even told me I was
starving my brain! So naturally I gave up when I hit a plateau.
So, back to the subject matter, I am so happy that we Atkins devotees
are becoming more mainstream and accepted and understood. This may
be the only weight loss program I will finally be successful at!

Just ran some errands and was pleased to find an entire shelf section
stocked with low carb items. It was a Marc’s store. I live in Ohio,
so I don’t know how big of a chain they are, but items are wholesale,
so it was great to find such a large selection: ketchup, mayo, bar-b-
q sauce, soy sauce, steak sauce, peanut butter, etc… at lower
prices. This is one of my biggest gripes about low carb diet, it is
so expensive in a very unpractical sence, especially with a family to
feed.
These are made so good and one of my favorite hard candies. I am
just checking to make sure they are allowed.
5 candies have 13 carbs
and 13 sugar alcohols
0 carbs, right?
It just doesn’t seem right that I am allowed to eat these.

I say this the other day … I’ll have to try that one too. You guys/gals
(LOL) are great. I’m just so new, and soooo ignorant. I’ll be working at
this a LONG time, so this is all good stuff to know.
Thanks for all the info.
