My 2-Week Progress
I guess I am posting this as much to pat myself on the back as to
offer inspiration to others, but I am so happy to report that after
14 days on the Atkins Diet, I’ve lost 10 lbs!!!
After a nice loss of 7 lbs the first week, the scale stopped moving
for several days even though I stayed 100% within the parameters of
induction (except for a scant half glass of Chardonnay during the
SuperBowl). This was frustrating and I was tempted to just cheat a
little many times. But then I reminded myself how I want to look and
did something to distract myself from food, like washed a load of
clothes or worked on an art project or came to this site to read
everyones’ messages! Those kinds of strategies really work for me.
The only time I really start thinking about food outside meal times
is when I am not focused on something more useful.
Anyway, when I woke up this morning, I just felt lighter. Sounds
stupid, but when I got on the scale, lo and behold, 3 more lbs gone.
It’s a big boost and incentive, cuz I was getting a little depressed!
I still have 56 to go, but when I think how much meat is in a 10 lb
package of hamburger and realize that that much flab is gone off my
body, the 10 lbs lost is a LOT!
So…to everyone who is frustrated, hang in there!
