longterm thinking
<<<<<
This is something that has been bothering me. It seems whenever I talk to
someone who has done Atkins they tell me they gained weight back very quickly as
soon as they varied, even a little from the diet. A couple of ladies at my
friend's office lost over 50 pounds each on Atkins but gained almost 100 back
within the following year. It scares me a little to think I may be setting
myself up to never be able to eat 'normally' again. (by normal I mean sometimes
sandwiches w/bread for lunch, cold cereal for breakfast, rice, etc. I don't
mean lots of sweets and/or junk foods) Does this bother anyone else?
Oh to be one of the lucky ones who can eat 'normally' and not
gain..........................

Lou,
This is exactly what I was talking about in my post today……I would like
to hear from others who have been doing this longer.

Besides, as we become accustomed to the WOE, it will become
our “normal”
This is so true - I had non-Atkins friends over the other night and
served chicken breast with bacon and cheese melted on top and
broccoli with butter. AND they loved it. Then we were playing a game
and I broght a platter of ring bologna and cheese out and they were
like there goes the “ATKINS DIET” and me and my hubby who are both
on it were like nope we can eat all of this.
It is so funny I have not really felt deprived.
