The Pain of Excercise……..

I wanted to share one more thing with all of you. I have started
some very moderate excercise, mainly to firm up. I know I would be
losing faster if I were excercising more but I’m mostly concerned
with the flab now.
I typically do a few sets of “butt squeezes” a day, just whenever I
think of it. I have been lifting 3 lb weights because my arms are
losing weight quickly and getting even more jiggly, also mini
crunches for the tummy flab and leg lifts. The other day I was doing
the leg lifts last and was holding a weight in one hand, resting on
the leg I was lifting. It hurts, no doubt about it. I was
thinking, “Oh man, this hurts so bad I don’t know if I can do it
every day.”
Then I thought, nooooo, you know what hurts? Looking in the mirror
and seeing every part of your body looking like mush and not
recognizing yourself even though you’ve been this way for about 4
years. Knowing that people who have met you since you gained all the
weight don’t know you any other way even though you are the same
person you were when you were skinny, they see you very differently.
It hurts not being ready to wear old lady clothes yet but even if
you can find “younger” clothes that fit, they look horrible. You
look like an old lady trying to look young. Ok, you get the picture.
I have felt like a person nobody really sees trapped in a body that
everyone sees and they are two different people. 10 minutes of leg
lifts a day? I can deal with it.
