I also did not see the huge jumps in my weight loss like others have
and did the diet by the book. My husband has had the same problem
although he is losing faster than I am even though I work out and
eat less. We both have been eating the bars (1x/day) to keep us from
cheating or binging otherwise. The package says they are ok for the
Induction phase but I have seen some posting on this site say they
can’t lose weight while eating them. I have but it is slow.
Personally, if I didn’t have a bar every day I know I would not stay
on the diet. It keeps me from feeling deprived.
I did however see inches lost and have had a slow but steady loss.
While I long for a huge jump like I have seen others have, I also
know that: a) after a few weeks on the diet, I felt less moody and
more in control of my eating than I have in a long, long time, b)
inches is great and I use the advice of a previous poster– look at
whateve encourages you– pant sizes, inches, or lbs– because it
will work over time, c) the biggest jump I saw (2 lbs in a week) was
when I increased the intensite of my workout (30 minutes more
intense vs. 45 at a lower intensity), d) and this is important!!
don’t weigh every day. If you do you will get discouraged and then
overeat and never see the weight loss you would have if you stayed
off the scale and kept on the diet. Once per week works well– it
can keep you motivated.
Also- tomatoes are fruit and have lots of sugar.
Good luck and don’t give up.

192/166 (on own then got STUCK for 4 months even though low fat,
small portions, no booze, and working out, so turned to Atkins and
now I am losing again and feel MUCH better and less hungry than I
did on low fat diet; more importantly I have hope and slow but
steady results)
