I can’t exercise… suggestions?
Ok,.. my dilema is this:
9 months ago I was thrown from a horse and broke my leg
[required 3 months off of work and 3 surguries and PT]… It is still
swollen and its still healing… Needless to say, my normal work
out habits are out the door. It hurts to walk half way around the
block…
some one suggested swimming… which I will take up [now and
then] once it gets nicer.
But in the meantime… will the lack of exercise inhibit me from
loosing weight. I mean, I have lost some…. but will it skew my
results? I know one person who lost weight on this way of life
with no exercise for the first few months… other than daily
routines… Luck? I do not know.

Hello Nichole,
Good luck
First of all, I command you for starting this WOL while not being on
top of your shape.
It is indeed a tough one but I would recommend as someone already did
to use hand weights or rubber bands to start doing some exercices
while you are seated. The idea is to get your heart pumping as well
as building some muscles (be it on your upper body only for now).
However, I would not stress too much about the speed of your weight
loss right now. Follow the plan, drink your water and take your
supplements. You should lose some weight and it will be easier to
resume your work out routine once you are back on your feet (so to
speak

My sister low carbs and loses weight without exercising other than
walking her dogs once a day.
Call me weird (or OLD!), but the best exercise for me are the Richard
Simmons tapes, Sweatin to the Oldies. He’s goofy, but makes me laugh
and it’s inspiring to see the people of all sizes working out. Also
it’s low impact.
I take the “A to Z” vitamins from Walgreens and the Atkins Essential
Oils. Also a calcium pill at my doctor’s insistence. So all around,
it’s fairly cheap to only have to buy the one expensive vitamin pill
from Atkins (well, I think they are expensive, anyway.)

Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement… I might go get
a low impact tape… but I have a tendency to do it a few times
then find excusses not too… That’s why I liked the gym so much…
I have to go get vitamins… I am terrible at taking medicine. I have
a busy crazy life [hey, who doesn’t?] .. single parent to a VERy
active 3 year old, school and work…. It’s easy for me to get side
tracked… haha.
anywho… thanks again for the thoughts! I guess I better get
myself in the habit of taking vitamins. Maybe I should put them
next to my daughters… she loves her flinstones.
