JUNE CHALLENGE REMINDER

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

Who can lose the most weight in the month of June?
Just a reminder to go in and add your information to the June
Challenge Database (click on Database, it’s on the left of
your screen)
When you find the list of databases, click on “June 2004 Challenge”.
When the table opens, click on “Add Record” on the top left to add
your information.
As the challenge continues and you weigh yourself, find your name in
the list and click on edit to the far right of your name to update
your weight loss.
Good luck, and may the best man or woman win….but actually, we are
all winners! Or is that LOSERS?
God bless

This is really such a neat idea, we should do this every month as
another way to track our progress. We can then go to the past
month’s database and see how far we’ve come!

After induction?

Friday, May 26th, 2006

I have that recipe for the egg muffins. I make those a lot, but don’t have
any made up right now….AND I’m starving…was thinking of just popping this
package of Atkins muffins in the oven. :-) I love the other egg muffins, I need to fill my frige with them again soon.

After induction?

Friday, May 26th, 2006

I have been on induction for just over 2 weeks, like 2 weeks and 3 days.
I was wondering about adding some food, particularly the Atkins muffins as
breakfast is such a difficult meal for me in a rush.
Will this cause me to slow down too much???
Thanks for advice

My Happy Dance

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

I actually had to tie the little strings on my kahki;s yesterday… my
pants were falling off! I can’t wait to get my scale back (in two
weeks)… but I have measured myself and the measurements are shrinking.
Joyous!

PS: If anyone want’s an excel file/log that tracks what you eat and your
weight I can email that (or post it). I got it from another Atkins board
but tweaked it to keep track of meals, vitamins and suchs…. It’s very
helpful! Let me know!

carbs and net carbs?

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

Hi, I’m new and I need all the help I can get.
I am not on the plan yet, but, I am going to go on it very soon.
Im a bit confused with the counting carbs and the net carbs. I
looked it up, but, I still dont get it??????
I thought carbs were carbs???
Does it matter which ones you count?
I’m sure IM not making much sense, but, I really want to know what
I’m doing once I begin.
I thought you could eat salad galore….guess that was inaccurate.
Just a bit confused here..
thanks so much,

Breakfast Alternative - Bacon Spinach Roll-Ups

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

I found this recipe on E-Diets… it said to use pita bread but since
bread is a no-no I substituted with Spinach… Makes for a great
breakfast or yummy Low-Carb Appetizer!
Enjoy!
Bacon Spinach Roll-Ups
16 slices bacon, cut in half
2 packages cream cheese
1 package/bunch of spinach
Garlic and seasonings to taste
Olive Oil
Directions
1. Open Spinach leaves, and spread generously with cream cheese on the
inside. Roll up each piece, and wrap with half of a strip of bacon.
Secure with toothpicks, and place close together on a baking sheet.
2 Sprinkle lightly with Olive Oil and garlic (or a lot if your like me).
3. Broil for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the bacon is
cooked through. Use a spatula to remove them to a napkin lined bowl or
platter. Remove toothpicks before serving.
Abt. 3.3g Carbs per serving
