JUNE CHALLENGE REMINDER!

Just a reminder to go in and add your information to the June
Challenge Database (click on Database, it’s on the left of
your screen)
When you find the list of databases, click on “June 2004 Challenge”.
When the table opens, click on “Add Record” on the top left to add
your information.
As the challenge continues and you weigh yourself, find your name in
the list and click on edit to the far right of your name to update
your weight loss.
Good luck, and may the best man or woman win….but actually, we are
all winners! Or is that LOSERS?

Hi all!
No one will believe what I did this morning… dun du da… I EXERCISED!!!!
This is one of my pet peves! I HATE exercise! Or at least anything that
may seem like exercise. I love playing softball and doing martial arts, but
when I am doing those things, I am concentrating on other people and things,
not just staring at a TV or listening to the radio.
I am on day 4 of induction. Have had a few cheats. The other evening we
went to dinner at a Mexican place, I chose a Chicken Chili Relleno. It came
with rice & beans which I asked that they not put on the plate, and I asked
for extra guac and extra lettuce. The only bad part was that the chili’s
were wrapped in a thin crape type skin that was probably made out of white
flour. I also had a small slip last night, I was so hot in my house (we are
having a/c installed today) and ice water & tea weren’t cutting it. I broke
down & had a popcicle (my hubby lives off of these in the summers) - I did
chose the one that had the fewer carbs, but non the less, still had one.
The scale says that I have lost 5 pounds in the last 4 days, but I started
Atkins just before TOM, so I’m not sure if all of the weight is really from
eating under 20 carbs a day.

OK…need some suggestions..i’ve decided to do the fat fast..but i need some
ideas..other than what was on that page..i cant eat sour cream or cream
cheese..can do the eggs…how bout peanut butter? I hate macadamia nuts.. I dont
eat
ANY seafood..but all other meats i love…can someone possibly give me an
idea of a typical day that i should do for the fat fast? I really need to jump
start myself..my fiance is doing SO well on Atkins..and dont get me wrong..i am
SO happy for him..but its depressing me that i am not losing a thing…i;ve
done everything else i was supposed to do..switched the diet..made sure
proportions are right..i am just not budging…so please..if someone could
help..i’d
be so appreciative!!

I have about 20 lbs to lose. It seems to really take forever. I have been
walking & exercising, too. I suppose I shouldn’t expect a miracle but I sure was
hoping for one. LOL

I took a look at that Fat Fast Article and that might be something to
consider. you also have a lot of other factors to weigh in [no pun
intended] :: Do you have that much weight to loose? The more you have to
loose the quicker it seems like it’s falling off. Are you over the age
of 40? On any meds? My mom was experiencing the same issues…. and
finally after 3 weeks, she lost a few pounds. It wasn’t much but it
helped her regain her positive attitude. She does claim, while
disappointed she isn’t loosing quickly, she definitely feels better.
More energy and healthier in general since she has been eatting better.
She also only has 40 pounds to loose [if that] so her’s isn’t dropping
as quickly as mine.
So keep the faith! It’ll start! I was skeptical too… Toss the scale. I
started measuring myself, also. That helps. I’ve lost 1 inch in my tummy
and 1/2 inch in my boobes (wish it were more)… and that’s taken me 3
weeks. toss the scale for awhile (I feel MUCH better since I have done
that) and take your measurements. It might turn out better. Hell…
don;t even do that. Just eat right for the next few weeks and then weigh
yourself at the end. The scale is such a downer. I’m a freee woman! I’ve
broken off the relationship I had with my scale. LOL…

I am not doing very well. I am sticking to the diet but I am not losing anything
like I had hoped:( The scale isn’t showing much of a loss & my jeans aren’t
really much looser, either. What is wrong with me??!! I can’t even lose 10 lbs.

I had my sister take my scale…. It’s no longer in my house. Yea! I was
getting obsessed and when I wouldn’t see a change I’d get very upset …
and when that happens, I felt like running to the fridge to make myself
some pasta! Heh… but I didn’t.
But this AM, I did notice my pants feel slightly looser… not much but
enough for me to tell. Yippiee!
