These looked yummy. Enjoy!
Shari :) Ingredients
Cinnamon Rolls
* 6 eggs seperated
* 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
* 7 Tbls ricotta cheese
* 4tsp Brown sugar twin
* 1 tsp cinnamon
Procedure
In one bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar ’til stiff
peaks form.
In second bowl, LIGHTLY beat (maybe 5 seconds!) egg yolks,
ricotta cheese,and sugar twin.
Fold yolk mixture into egg whites ’til mixed well - but
don’t break the egg whites down.
Spoon into big piles on a teflon cookie sheet and bake at
300 for about 50 - 55 minutes.
This recipe makes 8 large rolls. 1.25 carbs per roll.
NOTE: Refrigerate or they will go bad if left out.

CHEESY BURGER

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

5 slices bacon fried crisp and crumbled
2 pounds ground beef
1/2-3/4 cup Ragu Cheese Creations Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce (2g carb for
every 1/2 cup)
I fry the hamburger crumbled up like for tacos and season with salt and
pepper. All you do then is mix the whole thing together and eat. I think it
tastes
like a giant cheese burger.

Low-carb meal replacement drinks

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

I cheated a few days ago and wanted the easiest way to get back on
track. Is it OK to use the Atkins low-carb drinks as meal
replacements on induction? It would make it a lot easier for me at
breakfast and lunch.
Still trying to get back on track……..
Thanks,
Leesa

Cheat Days?

Friday, December 29th, 2006

Does anyone have a cheat day? Whether is is one meal, one day a week, once a
month??
Just looking for general concensus.

Coca Cola vs. Diet Rite

Friday, December 29th, 2006

You know, there was no one more addicted to Coke than me. I’ve read
in this group that several others really love Coke, too. But now that
I have switched to Diet Rite, it actually tastes just about as good
as full-sugared and caffeinated Coke, ! I think we need to retrain
our tastebuds as well as our minds.
If we stick to this woe, very soon the things we think of as pale
imitations become very tasty indeed.
Everybody hang in there! We can do this!

Doing better now

Friday, December 29th, 2006

Ok, I posted last week, trying to get going again! I did ok but still had a
few days of eating junk I didn’t need! Well, I made up my mind Monday that I
was not going to fall out of the boat!! I started Monday and have not ate one
thing off the program. I have lost 6 lbs since then! I am so excited. Now
I have the motivation to stay with it! I am going to work hard to stay a full
2 weeks on induction. Thanks for all the encouragement. Sharon

Fat or Calories?

Friday, December 29th, 2006

Quick question for ya’all…..with induction and eating the low carb/Atkins way,
should actual # of carbs per day mean more than the amounts of fat or vice
versa? I know in the end it is all about balance, but I am bored at work and
wanted to write! LOL
Example:
For breakfast, 2 hard boiled eggs and 2 tblsp mayo (egg salad) - 4 carbs at the
most maybe?
For lunch, 2 cups mixed salad greens, oil/vinegar dressing, beef/pork strips
(plain, cooked with just salt/pepper), sliced hardboiled egg, 1 cup of winter
squash. - 15 carbs total for lunch?
I am already at the 20 mark (or close to it) - starving and in retrospect, very
little fat. So do I go home tonight and eat nothing but meat and chicken?
Let me know your thoughts, thanks everyone!!!!!

Lost that stubborn pound :-)

Friday, December 29th, 2006

I did what I said I was going to do, and it worked. I laid off the
heavy cream (only 2 tbsp. yesterday), I didn’t let myself get
hungry, drank ALL my water and I lost that pound. ONE POUND AND I’M
ALL EXCITED.
Here’s one of my favorite recipes. It has a hint of a sweet taste
(vidallia onions?) It’s just delicious, satisfying, and keeps me on
track:
Steak ( I like the steak with a lot of fat going through it)
1 vadillia onion
1 can of mushrooms
butter
Put butter in fry pan. Add slices of onion and can of mushrooms.
Cook until tender.
Broil the steak to your liking.
Vary the recipe to your liking. It’s to die for.

Group

Thursday, December 28th, 2006

I just wanted to let everyone know how glad I am that I found this
group. Everyone has been so supportive and helpfull, and I know
that I wouldn’t have come as far as I have without this. I’m hoping
that everyone is doing well, and I want to say thanks again.
