slow induction too
Hi everyone!
I don’t post often but wanted to add my experience to the bunch here
about induction. I am back on Atkins again (3rd time?). I was very
successful a year ago, lost 11lbs in two weeks (about 16 total in
month) and did well until a family vacation. I am too struggling with
the scales…my keto sticks read moderate, so I know that I am doing
ok with my eating. My scale seems a little more stubborn, what is
most dissapointing was getting on the scale on Sat which said I lost
6 lbs (hooray) and today says 2lbs higher….
I do know that I feel better, and clothes feel looser….so I decided
to record my measurements and maybe I can see progress that way. My
motivation are the 4 prs of pants one size smaller in my closet (they
were a bargain on sale, so they are new). I want to be wearing them
no later than Christmas!
I know that locarbing I feel better and that is enough to keep me
going. I do have weeknesses…I have made some locarb cheesecakes,
and I am in heaven
Salted nuts (or anything salted-except rinds
which I can eat a few and put down) also a problem for me…so I have
to stay away from those macademias for a while. I am happy with the
3lb week loss but would really like to see that jump start I had
before. I think I remember seeing somewhere that is difficult to
achieve on repeated attempts with Atkins?
I am working on the exercise thing and hope that will help kick up my
metabolism…I am working on long term changes for permanent results
not the quick loss.
I do enjoy my 2-3 cups coffee a day and a diet soda (non-caff) or
two. Is that enough to cause me a slow down…I use half-n-half in
the coffee (half price of heavy cream) but take into account the
carbs.
