I have to admit something too…..day before yesterday was horrible for me
with cravings. I ate 4 tsp. of peanut butter and 3 bites of a piece of
bread. I was in ketosis but when I checked yesterday I wasn’t. While I
didn’t “go crazy” and eat a TON of stuff……it was still enough to make
me feel down and knock me out of ketosis. But, I did start back fresh after
that, and I know I’ll be in ketosis again soon. I DID throw away the peanut
butter (extra crunchy yum) so that will help. I no longer buy the bread I
love so much and I don’t like white bread at all…..so at least I’m
learning!

One step at a time, Susan.
The important thing is to learn from our mistakes, and move forward from
there.
Drink some extra water to flush out your system and get back on track. You
are doing fine.
Keep up the good work, and just chalk that lil falter up to experience.
Happy Low Carbing!

Shari, how did you handle the tendency of health food butters to separate?
I tried them, because I love almonds, and wanted almond butter …but even
after stirring and stirring, the top layers were dry, and the lower layers
were so oily they were inedible. I would love to use nut betters
(sparingly, of course) later …but won’t because I will *not* sacrifice
good taste. I would rather go without than deceive myself in that way.

I didn’t even *know* they sold it by the cup. Hmmm …that information
creates future possibilities!
Thanks,

I agree with you and Laura…..I do tend to be too hard on myself. I wonder
where I could find almond butter around here…..I’m not much of a peanut
butter eater unless I’m locarb and I dont’ know why then I want it so much.
Susan
You might check to see if any of your local health food stores grind their
own nut butters. Then you know they are nice and fresh.

I am perfectly aware of that …which is why I’ve been careful to say that I
would use nut butters later, and sparingly. Shoshana
