I have a question for you... are you a man or a women? The reason I
ask is your displayed e-address suggests that your name is John.
Knowing your gender could be relevant when answering your question.
For example, you say you're about 220 now... if you're a man, you may
be close to your goal weight and that could mean a slowing down of
your weight loss. Another example, if you're a man, your calorie
intake should be higher then if you're a women. Based on what you've
shared with us - and if you're a man - I'd suggest that you're not
eating enough in calories.
Apart from your gender, one observation I have about your daily
intake is the salad dressing... I'd suggest sticking with an olive
oil and vinigar-type dressing - this is just my opinion, but don't go
for the special "low-carb" dressings on the market if you can help
it. The good fat found in olive oil is soooo good for you - and
including good fats in your diet will help keep you satiated. I use
Paul Newman's dressings - they range from 1 to 2 carbs for 2
tablespoons. I noticed that your dressing was also "no calorie" - low
or no calorie usually means more added sugar (or sugar substitute) to
replace the taste of the fat. Don't worry about the calorie content
in your dressing! Just enjoy the taste of a good dressing. You can
also use a Caesar dressing - generally they are naturally low-carb...
about 1 carb. Just read the labels and you'll find the dressings for
you.
Hope this helps...

Hi! (sorry, didn't catch your name)
A day or two ago I sent a long email to someone listing a bunch of different
possibilities why weight loss doesn't occur when you feel like you are doing
everything right ... you may look it up on the group site ... it could give
you some ideas.
How many calories are you taking in?? The only things that jump out at me
are 1) it seems like possibly not enough calories (how many do you take in
versus what is your basal metabolic rate?),
2) I think the FIRST thing I would immediately cut out is the Keto hot
chocolate with the heavy cream ... that could be it all by itself!!
3) you are a long time low-carber (what I mean is that many low-carbers
believe in the *one golden chance* theory ... that the FIRST time you go on
induction is the time you will lose the most. Subsequent times are not as
much of a shock to your system, which is why you don't lose as much. This
bears out by your induction weight loss history.
This DOES NOT account for your gain, however. A very few people seem to be
reactive to caffeine ... but unless you drink a bunch and don't count the
carbs in it, it's somewhat unlikely. Same for the dressing. I think most
likely its #1 & #2 on the list.
Go to this site:
http://health.discovery.com/tools/calculators/basal/basal.html and see
what your resting BMR is. How do your calories stack up? Then, I would
immediately cut out the hot chocolate and any other 'fake foods' for a week
or two and see if that makes a difference. Check out my other post to see
what a host of other things can effect your loss. Let us know what you come
up with. Hope this helps, and welcome to the list! Kristina
