hi everyone,
my name is laurie,and im trying again thinking induction,,,,,very low
carbs..not exactly to sure……what do you all think if compared to
south beach diet?this is where im not sure?anyways,when im on
atkins,,,induction,i feel very week,,,,and why is this, almost flu
like symptoms….i do love cheese, but im not thinking of the bacon
every day,,,,,,a litle to much fat, or is this going to make you
loose fat faster?so im quite confused , if i could loose 15 lbs, id
be happy….any great advice is welcome.

I’ve told my wife I’m doing a “controlled carb” diet because she
LOATHES Atkins. She’s hopefless and won’t read the book or listen to
anything I say about it so I try to stay quiet. But she just hates
that I’m not eating any breads nor pasta and wants to at least add
pasta back when I’m done with Induction (Tuesday makes 1 cheat free
week!). Any ideas for a controlled carb pasta? Is this okay just after
induction? Sauce recipes?

its me again with some more questions, OK have you lost any weight
when you are bf. well I’m still carrying 20 pounds extra. i don’t
eat less or more what am i doing wrong. yes i know i might just be
keeping the 20 pounds to have a good supply. but i see mothers at
their 6 week visit have lost the baby fat plus more. i have been
doing taebo 3 times a week i cant walk around the block since its
cold and snow storms. I’m thinking of trying the Atkins diet or the
south beach. but I’m not sure how they work. also if I’m still 2o
pound over why can i fit my pregnancy clothes. my baby is 5 months
now.
Good morning, everyone. My name is Cynthia, and I’ve been lurking
since middle of last week when I decided to begin Induction. My
words then were the infamous, “I’ll begin Monday”, but I was really
serious.
Today is Monday and I have begun! I’m actually
excited.
I’m not new to Induction or the Atkins WOE at all. I did Induction
once, and lost approx. 10 lbs and loved it. Why I went back to the
junk food is beyond me. I know this works better for me than any
other way of eating I’ve tried. My goal is to lose 20 lbs, although
I know I “really” need to lose about 30. I guess it’s easier to
think of the smaller number for now.

Hi, I’m new to the list.
I read on one of the reply’s about someone taking laxatives. I
would avoid them.
The best thing would be to increase your fiber, water and walk.
Walking will massage the rectum and keep the stools loose.

I started this diet on January 1 and I have been following it very
religiously. I have only lost 10 lbs. I need to lose alot of
weight and feel that I should have lost more in 18 days. Does any
one have any suggestions?

I am new to this group and very frustrated with this diet. I had
tried this diet about a year and a half ago and lost 17 pounds in the
first two weeks. I was on it for two months and lost a total of 40
pounds. I started back on this diet the first of the year. I have
only lost 3 pounds. I am so frustrated. I have days that I dont even
have the 20 carbs and still I dont lose. I have health problems and
am on a varity of medicines. I have oked it with my doctor to do this
diet. Due to health problems I can not exercise. My heart rate is
high and with even a little walking my heart rate climbs up to a
range of 140-160. So exercise is out for me. I have to get the weight
off. I am beginning to think that I am never going to be able to
lose. I have two children a daughter 17 and a son 8. I want to be
around to see them grow and getting the weight off will help my
health problems. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Well I ate 2 oreo cookies today. I think I doubled my carb intake
for the day along with the almonds. How long does it normally take
to put you back in Ketosis after this? It was strictly sugar not any
white refined flour. I will be honest I don’t think it was really
worth the cheating. Now I feel guilty lol. But tomorrow is another
day and I will start again. I just will watch my carbs the rest of
the night.
Something I noticed…I am still hungry(Or so I think I am) at th
eend of the day.
This is my normal day
Breakfast:
1 2egg omellete with 1/4 cup cheese
2 slices of bacon
Lunch
1 cup salad greens
1/4 cup tomato’s
1/4 cup cucumber
1 hamburger or a peice of chicken.
Dinner
salad again
some sort of meat(lateley its been venison)
another veggie
By the end of the day I am still hungry. I am trying to keep my
carbs at less than 20 wich untill today I was able to. Maybe its
psychological. I don’t know. I am not craving sweets very often nor
do I want white bread(refined flour). I am not really frustrated
either as long as I don’t gain. I know I am drinking enough water. I
even drink water when I am hungry.
Gimme ya’lls opinion.
