my early week update
hmm well I knew all that cheating would come back to bite me in the
rear…. All that cheating(I knew this would happen) has thrown me
completely outta ketosis. I was even drinking between 80 and 90 ozs
of water to try and keep flushed. My mother in laws scale is off
though. I only gained 2 lbs back thank god.
well on to other things….I took my daughter to her endocrinology
appt yesterday. Spoke to the endocrinologist about her diet and she
has agreed to have me remove all sugars, refined flour( she still
wants her to have whole grains) . She says there is no reason why her
carbs should not come from veggies and fruit. Now I know its not
straight atkins but it atleast is a start for her. I have told the
school about the diet changes and they are working with me. so I
guess its a start.

Hi Denise…
I know that you will
Hugs, Kristina
Hey, 2 pounds for a ‘bender’ is not bad at all!
jump right back on track … are you feeling better? Great news about the
doctor visit! I think that cutting out that stuff will make a HUGE
difference for your daughter - and personally, I think that a bit a of fruit
will probably do more good than harm for a young child. Great to hear good
news once in a while, huh?

Hey Denise … did you make it through the day ok?
I was sitting at my desk yesterday, suddenly craving chili-cheese-flavored
fritos, when I realized that there was an open bag sitting on the desk next
to me (I had been smelling them). Darn thing was not only open, facing me,
but I *swear* that it was grinning at me. I actually stuck my hand in to
take ‘just one’ and then realized what I was doing and pulled it back so
fast that you would have thought it was an alligator’s mouth about to snap
my hand off at the wrist! As I put it away, I felt really proud, isn’t that
goofy? I won over an inanimate object. Sheesh. But I guess that I really
won over *me*.
Have a great day! Hugs, Kristina
