please inform me on what YMMV stands for…
I went to the health food store 2 weeks ago and got coconut oil.
Refined, mechanically pressed (no chemicals), organic. $6.50 for 14
oz. That’s kinda pricey, but what the heck… I thought I’d try it.
So far, it is great. No flavor at all.
Here’s the website if you want to check them out. Laura, they’re in
the Bay Area!!!! LOL

They make no claims to cure hypothyroidism, but they do say that
studies have shown that coconut oil does boost metabolism…
Ok, we’ll see.

K—So glad for your news! It’s a good feeling, isn’t it?
Ok I have been in hard induction for 16 days now. I KNOW I am not
ready for OWL but with my being sick I am seriously craving spagetti.
I keep dreamfields that have 5 net digestable carbs and I have carb
options spagetti sauce made with splenda. Do you think if I don’t go
overboard and limit the pasta to a small amount I could have soem
tonight? I NEED comfort food and I don’t want to risk potato’s or
something like that. I haven’t checked for ketosis in the last few
days so I should probably check that first. I was also going to have
a salad with that and add hamburger to the sauce. What do ya’ll
think?
Denise
Clarification please: Is it supposed to be unrefined? Or is refined ok? I got
Organic, but then I noticed refined, and seem to be confused. (Not an unusual
state these days
)
Thanks
God I feel so crappy today. I have this dang and I think I am in the
midst of the worst of it. My throat hurts and is swollen, I am
hacking like crazy, my lungs are full of gunk. I have no appetite(I
ate 2 maple flavored sausages then realized there are 1.5 grams of
sugar per patty and 2 or 3 carbs so now I am cranky from that). I am
craving something I don’t know what though. I don’t feel like
drinking my water or doing anything WAH
ok done whining I am gonna go lay down

The second week it was bacon added to my bfast (I was
scared to eat bacon or mayo cuz they have sugar listed on the label–
the first week I wouldn’t eat them).
You definitely want to look for the mayo that has the least sugar.
Hellman’s or Best Foods is a good choice. Duke’s has no sugar, if you can find
it.
We don’t seem to have it out here in California. Get familiar with your
labels. Stay away from things like Miracle Whip which has lots of sugar.
Shop around for bacon too. There are plenty of brands without sugar, even
some store brands. What’s harder to find is the ones without the nitrates.
Label reading is a good hobby to cultivate now that we are learning to eat
better. I’ve even got my 12 year old daughter studying to be a label
detective. She’s getting quite good at it.
Happy Low Carbing!

I will up my water. I really mean I will try.
Thanks John

I have found a great popsicle called FRUIT COOLERS. I has ZERO on
everything except 15 calories and only 5 cabs per cicle. I purchased
them at Kroger.
I did buy a box of these. Hope that won’t mess me up.
